Blake and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary on July 18th! We had a wonderful weekend celebrating our first year of marriage together! This past year has been hard on both of us for many different reasons, but our relationship has truly grown so much and we are so thankful to have one another. There is nothing better than waking up next to your other half everyday and knowing that you get to walk through life with that person forever!
Our anniversary weekend began when 18 beautiful roses showed up at my desk on Friday morning! I was so surprised! My roses were so gorgeous and they smelled sooooo good!!!
Then we spent Friday evening at 560 in Reunion Tower! This is Wolf Gang Puck’s restaurant at the top of Reunion Tower (the ball) in Downtown Dallas. Blake and I had never been to this restaurant, so we were so excited to experience it together, it was truly an amazing experience. We got to the restaurant when it was still light outside, so we got a 360 view of the Dallas Skyline from 560 feet in the air in the day and night light. It was gorgeous! The food and service were wonderful and the view could not get any better!
Saturday we relaxed at the pool and reminisced all day about what we were doing at that exact time a year ago. It was a really fun experience to hear Blake’s memories of the day and for us to just lie around and laugh about all the fun we had on our wedding day!Sunday (our actual anniversary day) we again relaxed by the pool and then Blake cooked my favorite meal for me for dinner. We finished up the anniversary with the infamous 1 year old wedding cake (it was surprisingly good) and a special toast to a million more wonderful memories together!
